Songs/Action Rhymes
Autumn Leaves are Falling Down
(Tune: London Bridges is falling down)
Autumn Leaves are falling down,
Fallin down, falling down. (Wiggle fingers in downward motion.)
Autumn Leaves are falling down
Gently to the ground. (Wiggle fingers in downward motion until you touch the ground.)

Hello Mr. Turkey
(Tune: If You're Happy and You Know it)
Hello, Mr. Turkey, how are you?
Hello, Mr. Turkey, how are you?
With a gobble, gobble, gobble,
And a wobble, wobble, wobble.
Hello, Mr. Turkey, how are you?
If You're Thankful and You Know It
(Tune of "If You're Happy and You Know It")
If you're thankful and you know it, clap your hands.
If you're thankful and you know it, clap your hands.
If you're thankful and you know it,
Then your face will surely show it.
If you're thankful and you know it, clap your hands.

If you're thankful and you know it, stomp your feet.
If you're thankful and you know it, stomp your feet.
If you're thankful and you know it,
Then your face will surely show it.
If you're thankful and you know it, stomp your feet.

If you're thankful and you know it, shout "I am!"
If you're thankful and you know it, shout "I am!"
If you're thankful and you know it,
Then your face will surely show it.
If you're thankful and you know it, shout "I am!"

If you're thankful and you know it, do all three.
If you're thankful and you know it, do all three.
If you're thankful and you know it,
Then your face will surely show it.
If you're thankful and you know it, do all three.

My Turkey
(Tune: I'm a little teapot)
I have a turkey, big and fat.
He spreads his wings (fan hands at hips)
And walks like that (strut back and forth)
His daily corn he would not miss, (pretend to eat corn)
And when he talks, he sounds like this! (Gobble, Gobble!)

Turkey Trot
(Tune: Hokey Pokey)
You put your right wing in,
(right elbow)
You put your right wing out.
Your put your right wing in,
And shake it all about.
You do the Turkey Trot
And you turn yourself around.
That's what it's all about!

You put your left wing(left elbow)in,...etc.
You put your drumsticks(legs)in...
You put your stuffing (stomach)in...
You put your wattle (head)in...
You put your tail feathers (rear)in...
You put your turkey body in...etc.

I'm A Little Turkey
(Tune: I'm a Little Teapot)
I'm a little turkey
My name is Ted
Here are my feathers
and here is my head
Gobble, gobble, gobble
is what I say
Quick! Run!
It's Thanksgiving Day!

Feltboards
Five Fall Leaves
Five fall leaves hanging from a tree
The green one said, "I haven't changed, you see"
The Yellow one said, ?I?m as bright as the sun
The Red one said, ?Well, I?m the brightest one.?
The Orange one said, ?Hey, I don?t care.?
The Brown one said, ?Let?s dance in the air.
So when the fall wind gently blew. (Blow)
The leaves came off the tree and away they flew. (Flutter hand through the air)
They swirled and twirled around and around
And then drifted softly to the ground. (Bring hand toward the floor)

Five Little Apples
Five red apples hanging in a tree
The juiciest apples you ever did see.
The wind came by and gave an angry frown
And one little apple came tumbling down
Repeat 4, 3, 2
One red apples, hanging in a tree,
The juiciest apples you ever did see.
The wind came by and gave an angry frown
And one little apple came tumbling down
No red apples, hanging in a tree.

Five Little Turkeys
Five little turkeys by the barn door,
One waddled off, then there were four.
Four little turkeys out under the tree,
One waddled off, then there were three.
Three little turkeys with nothing to do,
One waddled off, then there were two.
Two little turkeys in the noonday sun,
One waddled off, then there was one.
One little turkey – better run away!
Soon will come Thanksgiving Day!
